Japan renders ultrasound equipment purchasing grant for oncologic dispensary in Minsk

The patients of Minsk oncological dispensary can now have tests done on new ultrasound equipment. More than 160 thousand rubles were spent on its purchasing.

The grant was given by the Japanese government. This is the first project realized in Minsk. Before support was rendered to the regions of the country.

Hiroki Tokunaga, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Belarus:
We are happy to help Belarusian people? Because we are united by a mutual tradition- a nuclear catastrophe. We were rendered assistance from Belarus. When an accident occurred at a nuclear power station in Japan. We are eager to continue such assistance in the Republic of Belarus.

This program of cooperation with Japan has existed for more than 10 years now. It is aimed at overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. As many as 40 projects have been realized in the time.
