Illegal migrants from India detained in Belarus trying to get to EU

A channel of illegal migration from India to the European Union was suppressed by Belarusian border guards.

On July 25, in the Grodno region border guard officers found traces in the direction of the state border.

As it turned out later, there were three violators - they are all citizens of India. The people from South Asia planned to get to France via Belarus. They got to Belarus using a group tourist visa. This was the end of the legal part of their route.

Anton Bychkovsky, spokesman of the State Border Committee of Belarus:
The organizers also tried to establish an illegal channel for the delivery of migrants from India to the countries of the European Union. They dealt with organizational issues and assisted illegal immigrants in illegally crossing the border, established ties with potential customers, found transport, and planned a route, delivered illegals to the immediate border zone and further to the place of the planned violation of the state border of the Republic of Belarus.

This is the second attempt by Indian citizens to organize a channel for the illegal migration in 2017. In total, four organizers of this illegal activity were detained.
