Marianna Shetkina delivers speech at UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development The discussions of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development finished in New York.

Marianna Shchetkina, the national coordinator of the project, delivered a speech on Belarus’ work in this direction.

Belarus delivered a speech at such a forum for the first time. However, it emphasized the special role of UN platform in solving global problems of today and completion of the Goals of sustainable development.

Together with UN agencies Belarus is working on increasing the level of information capacity of the Goals of sustainable development. Special attention is paid to youth and educational programs. International Help plays the last role in the Goals of sustainable development.

The UN can and is born to serve as center of coordination for the interested countries.

The achievements of ambitious aims are possible when integration and smart coordination take place. Belarus is an active participant of a range of regional integration processes; we are interested in strengthening and harmonization through integration of integrations.

The Goals of sustainable development is a plan aimed at maintaining peace and stability on the planet. The Goals were adopted and approved by all the UN members. As many as 17 goals of sustainable development are aimed at elimination poverty, inequality, and solution of such problems connected with climate change. All of the goals must be fulfilled in the period of 13 years.
