Open-air Norwegian cinema screening in Minsk on July 21

Open-air Norwegian cinema screening in Minsk on July 21

Film lovers are invited to Upper Town in Minsk. Free movie screenings will be held at the Town Hall on Fridays and Saturdays.

The premiere night gathered about 200 spectators. The opening film of the season was an Italian comedy. Seven short films, which were awarded at prestigious European festivals, were screened in the evening of July 15.

Yuri Chechukevich, director of Kinovideoprokat, Minsk City Executive Committee:
We think that this initiative will become traditional, and Minsk citizens and guests of the capital will be able to enjoy the best masterpieces of world cinema every weekend (on Friday and Saturday).

Since I live not far away I decided to go out on a free evening and see. I think that this is a very wonderful idea. The only thing that embarrasses me about this is that this happens only in Minsk.

If it were in other cities, at least large ones, it would be very cool.

It is interesting. Something new, not as usual: everyone sits and quietly eats but here there's an orchestra, live music and a cool format.

Cool evenings, sincere and I think very successful.

Culture is well promoted in Belarus. There is a place for the youth to relax without alcohol.

Film screenings in the Upper Town continue until the end of the summer. On July 21 at 21:00 (Belarus time) you can enjoy the masterpieces of Norwegian cinema.
