Grigory Rapota attends Slavonic Bazaar on Day of Union State

This day at the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk is dedicated to the friendship of Belarus and Russia. The honored guest of the music forum on July 14 was Grigory Rapota, the State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

He was greeted at the house-museum of Ilya Repin “Zdravnevo”.

Grigory Rapota arrived to the place together with his colleagues. The guest got acquainted with the exposition of photographs of winners of special awards, which is held once in two years. They also got acquainted with the biography of Alexander Zhirkevich, a public figure o the end of the 19th-20th centuries. The copy of his portrait, which was painted by Repin, was presented to the House-Museum.

This place has already become a place which attracts people, who are interested in art and culture. Today we gather philologists. I suppose that this part has already settled as a place of attraction during the Slavonic Bazaar.

The Day of Union Sate at the festival finished with a grand concert. In 2017 it is dedicated to the anniversary of the famous and loved both in Belarus and Russia musical band “Syabry” (Friends).
