FC BATE may get Slavia Prague in Champions League 3rd qualifying round

The draw for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League was held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

BATE Borisov, in the event of a victory over the Armenian Alashkert after the second leg, will meet SK Slavia Prague in the third round.

In the first game at Borisov Arena the champions of Belarus and Armenia drew 1:1, BATE missing the victory at the end of the match. The return leg will be held on July 18 in Yerevan.

CSKA Moscow, which is coached by Belarusian Viktor Goncharenko, will play against AEK from Athens. Dynamo Kyiv, led by Belarus' Alexander Khatskevich, will take on Young Boys from Bern.

The first matches of the 3rd round of the UEFA Champions League qualification will be held on July 25 and 26, with the return legs to take place on August 1 and 2.

Earlier in the Europa League second qualifying round, two representatives of Belarus, Dinamo Brest and Dinamo Minsk, drew their respective games.

FC Dinamo Brest managed to score a precious away goal against Austrian Altach and conceded one (1:1). Dinamo Minsk did the same in the game in Skopje against FC Rabotnicki (1:1). The return matches will be held on July 20 in Brest and Minsk, respectively.
