Belarus congratulates France on Day of the Bastille

France celebrates the main national holiday - the Day of the Bastille. On July 14, large-scale celebrations will be held across the country. The main events are expected in Paris.

The military parade will begin on the Champs-Elysees. Servicemen, cadets and cavalrymen of the Republican Guard will pass from the Arc de Triomphe to Concorde Square. In the evening, a concert of classical music will take place on the Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower. The festive fireworks will finish the celebration.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron and the people of that country on the national holiday.

Pavel Latushko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the French Republic, Ambassador to Spain and Portugal:
Contacts between sister cities are invigorating. For example, recently there was a big event: the presentation of Minsk in Lyon. The inter-regional forum was held in Minsk in 2016. It is also very important, as regions sometimes better understand the importance of pragmatic relations. People there know the practical side of things, they know better what needs to be done, in what direction it is worth investing.
