Moldova President visits Belkommunmash. Electrobus export contacts may be on the cards

Moldova is considering the possibility of assembling Belarusian electric buses, said July 13 the President of that country during a visit to the Belkommunmash enterprise.

These days, Igor Dodon is in Belarus on a working visit. The plant is a leading manufacturer of land-based city electric transport in the CIS countries.

The Moldovan leader not only got acquainted with the production of equipment, but also traveled as a passenger on a new Belarusian electric bus.

Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova:
What I saw is beyond my expectations. Well done! You not only saved these production traditions but also go ahead and create such new models. Today we can say with certainty that we have seen the future.

I was in the European Union at many factories. Here, I'll tell you honestly, it's even higher, much higher than in some European countries. I hope we can see these new models on Chisinau streets in the near future.

"Belkommunmash" has cooperated with Moldova for five years. Today, 200 Belarusian trolleybuses run along the streets of Chisinau. Half of the vehicles was assembled at a joint venture in Moldova.
