Roberto Montella: Minsk these days became center of international diplomacy

The initiative of Belarus to begin the OSCE discussion on the launch of the new Helsinki process is supported by the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the organization. Roberto Montella today shared his opinion with journalists.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made a suggestion to organize the Helsinki 2 negotiation process on July 5. During this session, Belarus will announce a number of initiatives. Among them, in particular, is the resolution, which deals with the fight against the emergence of new psychoactive substances. On July 6 this proposal was presented at President Hotel.

Ulan Primov, representative of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic at the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly:
We fully agree, we support the draft resolution on psychotropic substances provided by the Belarusian side.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is the platform where all topical issues and new challenges are discussed.

Belarus is a country where events of not only this scale could be held.

Roberto Montella, Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly:
Minsk these days became the center of international diplomacy. On the one hand, holding this session for Belarus is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the real state of affairs in the country. But on the other hand it's also an opportunity for parliamentarians from many countries

to assess the situation in Belarus on the basis of personal observations, and not just information in the media.

Boleslav Pirshtuk, deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus:
We now have acquired a lot of supporters, good, economically strong European countries, who firmly supported us (especially yesterday, when there was an open voting). This is obliging, I think you will agree.
