Belarus, Russia boasting own high-tech developments at Forum of Regions

On June 30, the heads of state of Belarus and Russia will visit the IV Forum of Regions, which in 2017 is devoted to integration development in the field of high technologies and innovations.

Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are expected to partake in the forum activities too and have talks on the Belarusian-Russian cooperation.

The largest negotiation platform began work on June 29 in Moscow and gathered a record number of participants. The first agreements and contracts have already been concluded.

Ivan Bambiza, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia:
This year the forum is devoted to innovations, science, and new technologies. This is very important today, because it is on a scientific basis that one can build his economic well-being for the future. Therefore, today there is an opportunity to be convinced once again that both the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus have a lot of their own, national developments in the field of new technologies.

This is the fourth such forum. Traditionally, the event becomes a place for successful negotiations, attracting investments and concluding profitable deals. The current potential package of contracts is estimated at $400 million. The 5th Forum of Regions will take place in Belarus in 2018.
