Belarus' Sabalenka into Wimbledon main draw

The Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka (135th in WTA) has entered the main draw of Wimbledon.

Today, in the third match of the qualifying round Sabalenka met with USA's Kristie Ahn (116) and won confidently in two sets, 6:1, 6:1. Prior to that, Aryna Sabalenka beat another American tennis player Jamie Loeb (145), 7:6 (7:5), 6:4, and the representative of the Republic of Korea on N. Han (205), 4:6, 6:2, 6:4.

Other players to take part in the main draw of Wimbledon are Aliaksandra Sasnovich (87) and Victoria Azarenka (678), who were freed from qualification.

In the doubles, Belarusian tennis player Lydia Morozova and Lesley Kerkhove from the Netherlands defeated at the start of qualifying the American duo of Kristie Ahn and Madison Brengle, 6:4, 3:5, 7:5. The Belarusian-Dutch tandem will hold the decisive match today.

If they win, they will qualify for the main draw too.

In the men's doubles, Belarusian Max Mirnyi will play together with the Poles Marcin Matkowski. Matches of Wimbledon's main draw will begin on the grass courts of the

All England Lawn Tennis Club on July 3 and will end on July 17.
