Traditionally, on the eve of Independence Day, measures will be strengthened to ensure the protection of public order and the security of Minsk citizens. 130 checkpoints will be opened near the places of festivities.

Igor Yurkevich, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee:
In total there are more than 40 places of celebrations. They are strictly defined, and security measures are strengthened there. Law enforcement services and medical services will be on alert. The weather conditions are fine for the festivities. Therefore, I ask Minskers to familiarize themselves in advance with where the checkpoints are.

Undoubtedly, the main goal is a comfortable, festive mood and people's safety.
