Polish and Belarusian veterans gather in Grodno in remember WWII times

They fought shoulder to shoulder and did not see each other since the end of the Great Patriotic War (1945). A meeting of Polish and Belarusian veterans took place in Grodno.

40 people came from the neighboring country within the framework of the 32nd All-Polish Meeting of the Regiment's Sons. Many of the veterans were born in Belarus and met the war as children in guerilla units.

Tadeusz Tarkowski, veteran of the Great Patriotic War (Poland):
I started in a guerilla detachment in Belarus, I started from Brest. We are pleased to remember all those times here. We are treated very well everywhere.

Such meetings must take place of course. After all, we fought together, we won this Victory together.

In a friendly informal atmosphere, the veterans recalled the military life and exchanged contacts. An excursion to the places of military glory was conducted for the guests.
