Evenings of the Bolshoi Theater held in Belarus' Nesvizh

The Bolshoi Theater for the eighth time turned Nesvizh, the residence of the Radziwills princes, into a cultural center. Connoisseurs of opera and ballet from different countries come to Nesvizh to see their favorite shows.

Alesia Belikova, CTV channel:
The possession of the Radziwills became living scenery for the Bolshoi Theater. Fans of ballet and opera can enjoy the most beautiful works performed by the stars of the Belarusian Opera and Ballet Theater.

In the 18th century, the first court theater in Eastern Europe was created here in the Radziwill Castle.

The best artists of opera and ballet were invited to perform. The ancient walls still attract connoisseurs of classical music art - now with the best productions of the Belarusian Bolshoi Theater.

Vasily Markov and Tatyana Valyanskaya:
This is our first performance here and we did not expect that you can see the ballet in such a place. We especially came from St. Petersburg to see and enjoy the beauty, excellent weather.

For the first time in our life will we watch ballet under the open sky.

This summer "Evenings of the Bolshoi Theater" opened with the ballet by French composer Adolphe Adam's Giselle - a masterpiece of choreography and one of the most popular performances about beautiful and tragic love.

Irina Yeromkina, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, soloist of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus:
We are about to show the ballet "Giselle" here on this stage, in the open air. I really love this performance, it is very interesting for me, very important.

In general, Giselle is the dream of any ballet dancer.

To perform in such conditions is much more pleasant but at the same time more difficult than at home scene. Any pas de deux becomes special here when actors perform against the background of the majestic picturesque walls of the castle.

Yuri Troyan, People's Artist of the Republic of Belarus, Artistic Director of the Ballet of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus:
Everything here sounds different, really. This castle walls have an unexpected effect. The castle and the dance are very well combined.

Especially when it gets dark, when the viewers take their places, it becomes very beautiful and very interesting.

The three-day cultural festival ended on June 25 with the gala concert Radziwill Ball. Famous world opera hits and episodes from masterpieces of world choreography by stars and musicians of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra were performed on the stage in the castle's courtyard.
