The European Investment Bank will come to the Belarusian financial market. One of the key creditors of the Old World provides long-term loans for major government projects, as well as for small businesses.

The agreement between Belarus and the EIB was ratified on June 26 at the House of Representatives. A few hours earlier in the Oval Hall, the Government answered questions of parliamentarians. The government reports to the parliament in Belarus on a monthly basis.

A salary of BYN1,000 ($500) is quite an achievable task if Belarus saves more money and holds optimization.

Unemployment rate in Belarus is within the permitted limits. In general, the economy is recovering.

Vasily Matyushevsky, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
The greatest return is shown by woodworking and pulp and paper enterprises, chemical production, and light industry. At present, we see quite good growth rates of wages. In January-April 2017, it increased by 8.9% compared to 2016 and amounted to BYN776.7 in April.

To accelerate economic growth, the country is actively working to liberalize business climate.

Alexander Markevich, deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
When should we wait for a package of documents to improve the business environment?

Vasily Matyushevsky:
We expect that there will be a discussion of the well-known draft decree of the head of state in the very near future. At the same time, these additions will be adopted. Therefore, we expect that literally within a month.

On the same day, the draft law on cooperation between Belarus and the European Investment Bank was approved.

This promises Belarus profitable projects with financing worth tens of millions of dollars.

Dmitry Krutoi, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus:
Financial conditions of this bank are much more comfortable than those of the World Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. There is a very good project with Minskvodokanal.

The bank liked it very much. This project worth about $145 million is designed for cleaning sewage in the city of Minsk.

The upper chamber, the Council of the Republic, also held a session on that day. It discussed 22 questions: from jurisprudence to pharmaceuticals.

For example, changes will be made to the system of children's welfare. Payments will be increased. Particular attention is paid to families raising disabled children.

Irina Starovoitova, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
In the bill, we see the increase in benefits from 100 to 120% of the subsistence minimum budget. Families in which parents are pensioners, regardless of whether they have a disability or not will get an opportunity to receive benefits.
