Belarus’ Deputy Premier about new hospital in Ostrovets

An interdistrict medical centre will be built on the base of a new hospital in Ostrovets. It was stated by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister on June 21, 2017.

He got acquainted with the development of infrastructure of the town. The building process is carried out according to the national investment programme. The hospital is intended for 60,000 residents. Modern diagnostics equipment and a strong laboratory base will help to provide medical service at the highest of levels. It is expected that the patients will be seen here next year.

Vasily Zharko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
Today we have once again determined that the area the new hospital occupies, it is necessary to establish interdistrict medical centres0rehabilitations, a cardiological centre, and maybe a centre of obstetrics and gynaecology. New equipment will be installed in this establishment, which will help to conduct operations and provide medical assistance at a high level.

It is planned that the building of the hygiene and epidemiology centre will start at the beginning of 2018. All in all, a good infrastructure is established in Ostrovets. New schools, kindergartens, sports complexes and residential houses are being built as well.
