CTV Channel supports children's classic poetry competition

Most of the participants of the poetry competition "Living Classics", which aims to promote Belarusian national literature, recite the works by Yakub Kolas, one of the most prominent Belarusian poets of all times.

CTV Channel is one of the organizers of the contest.

More than 13,000 participants joined a large-scale project. Poems by Belarusian authors have already sounded in every corner of the country.

It was not easy for the jury to assess the skills of young talents. It will be even more difficult to choose the finalists.

Alexander Karlyukevich, Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus:
CTV Channel has given the contest a new media status.

It is not only because you broadcast information about this but also because the CTV wraps it into a new format.

All the project's participants want to become TV poetry stars now!

Elena Stelmakh, First Deputy Chairman of the Writers Union of Belarus:
The republican competition of young readers "Living Classics" has acquired a very large scale. Children not just read poetry, but imagine themselves as the characters from those poems. They even prepare theatrical costumes for that, so that will be a difficult task for the jury.

The winners will be announced in Polotsk during celebration of the Belarusian Written Language Day.

On September 3, three of the best children will take the stage together with the participants of the CTV's major project - a series of concerts "Golden Collection of Belarusian Songs".
