President Lukashenko to participate in OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's opening session

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko has reported to the Belarus President on preparations for the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. It is expected that during the session Minsk will welcome representatives of more than fifty states.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
The parliamentary dimension at the OSCE level. And I would like to know in detail how ready we are for this. And what should I do, my piece of work, which we agreed on. You created a commission, you had to determine my participation in this, so that I could plan my work schedule.

As many as 593 deputies of the 700 participants have already confirmed their participation.

The largest delegation is expected from the United States. Russia, Germany and Italy will be represented widely too, with each nation to send 10-12 participants.

The holding of the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk is also recognition of Belarus' peacekeeping merits and the opportunity to prolong the dialogue between states. In addition, countries are preparing resolutions. Among the proposals of the official Minsk is the fight against psychotropic substances.

Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
Lack of trust is the main reason why countries cannot provide for their people such basic values ​​as peace, stability and prosperity. Therefore, these issues will be the focus of this session. We will also focus on combating terrorism, organized crime, corruption, on the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East.

The 26th summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Minsk from 5 to 9 July.

The administrative complex on Pobediteley Avenue and President Hotel will be the main even venues. The parliamentarians will live in seven Minsk hotels. To make Belarus closer to European legislators, they will be given tours to Mir and Nesvizh, the museum of the Great Patriotic War and the memorial Khatyn.
