Igor Voitov, rector of the Belarusian State Technological University:
When forming an innovative economy, which is very important, any manager should look for innovations. These guys perfectly understand what areas they are interested in already at the university. When they graduate from the relevant universities, some will go to industrial enterprises. They will be thinking in an innovative way and understand where the world's technological trends are moving.

Alexander Shumilin, head of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus:
The best proof of science is practice when a scientific development is used in the real sector of economy. This shows its importance, need and utility.

You cannot build a socially-oriented state without corresponding sociological research. We have learned to create products well. But I will honestly say that Belarus has not learned to trade very well yet.

Today we are creating a venture financing system in Belarus. Venture financing are special financing schemes involving the banking sector. These are innovations in new directions.

Many of today's awardees will be added to the list of laureates of the Special Fund of the Belarus President. This fund aims to support gifted students in all areas.
