Belarusian surgeons do unique surgery for 13-year-old girl from Tbilisi

Belarusian surgeons performed a unique transplantation operation for a 13-year-old patient from Georgia.

A rare deadly heart disease was found in the resident of Tbilisi six years ago. Now the girl has a chance to live; her condition improves every day. This is not the first such surgery conducted by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology".

Foreigners increasingly often come to Belarusian clinics.

Alexander Mrochek, Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center Cardiology:
Foreign citizens, seeing that we have a high level of heart and lung transplantation come to us for help. Specifically speaking, this is the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, this is Georgia, this is Moldova, this is Israel (and there were patients from there) and Russia.

That is, we have quite a lot of patients from the surrounding countries.

Today much is being done in Belarus to improve the image of the medical worker.

New technologies have reduced mortality and increased life expectancy. Health care in Belarus has a strong human resource potential, both in the field of practice and science.
