Belarus’ humanitarian aid handed over to Red Cross Mission in Ukraine

The Belarusian humanitarian aid to Ukraine has been handed over to the Ukrainian Red Cross Mission. The representatives of the organization will provide the delivery of aid to the war stricken areas.

A convoy of lorries of the Emergencies Ministry arrived to a Ukrainian settlement of Chaiki in Kyiv district. The aid weighs 58 tons with a total value of 117,000BYN.

Alexander Lukashenko told Petro Poroshenko about the intention of Belarus rendering humanitarian aid to Ukraine at their meeting in Chernobyl on April 26, 2017. The corresponding decisions were made on May 4, 2017 on the governmental level: concrete tasks were given to directors of a range of Belarusian plants and agencies. It took about one month to decide on all the formalities.
