Day of Russia celebrated on June 12

Russia Day is celebrated on June 12. This is one of Russia's main state holidays. Festivities and concerts are held throughout the country.

Festivals, fairs and free tours are held in Moscow. The holiday will end with a spectacular fireworks display - about 500 volleys from Red Square.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President Vladimir Putin on Russia's Day.

"The fraternal friendship and strategic partnership with the Russian Federation are highly valued by the Republic of Belarus. Together we implement large-scale integration projects in the interests of our peoples," the head of state said.
