Belarus willing to export more foodstuffs to Egypt

The first batch of Belarusian rye flour will be sent to Egypt on June 8. Before that, Belarusian farmers supplied only dry milk to the African market.

The export list will expand in the future. Now the relevant negotiations are underway. A delegation from Cairo is now in Minsk to discuss a number of joint projects. The Belarusian side is ready to share advanced technologies in the agrarian sector.

Alexei Bogdanov, head of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus:
Egypt is one of the leaders of the African continent. It has finances and great consumer properties. Therefore, we are trying to expand our range of exports, supplying there not only skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, but we also want to ship finished products like cheeses, butter and our whole milk products.
