President Lukashenko to go on working visit to Kazakhstan 8-9 June

Alexander Lukashenko will go on a working visit to Kazakhstan from on June 8-9, 2017. Belarus’ President will take part in the session of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Belarusian leader will speak about Belarus’ position on further development of the organization; he will touch upon economic issues as well.

A bilateral meeting of Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev is planned to be held. The commodity circulation of Belarus and Kazakhstan summed up to 400 million dollars in 2016.

At least three new MAZ assembly plants were established in the last three years. As many as 20 MAZ trucks have been assembled in Almaty. It is planned to assemble 100 automobiles this year. A joint Belarus-Kazakhstan agricultural machinery plant was opened at the end of 2016. It is a rather powerful plant of agricultural machinery which is planned to be extended in the next three-five years with the participation of plants and manufacturers.

Alexander Lukashenko will also be taking part in the opening ceremony of the international specialized exposition EXPO 2017, where a Belarusian pavilion will be working. Belarusian ecotransport and harvesters on gas fuel will be presented there.

What is more, the visitors of the exposition will get acquainted with the latest Belarusian scientific development. EXPO 2017 is dedicated to the energy of future. More than 110 countries and 20 international organizations have confirmed their participation in the forum.
