Belarusian machinery to be exported to Africa

The first Belarusian machinery by the credit line of the African export-import bank will be exported to Ghana, Zimbabwe and South Sudan. It became known at the Belarus-Africa economic forum on June 7, 2017.

About 100 businessmen, farmers and bankers came to Minsk from this hot continent. They are also interested in medicine and education sectors. What is more, the Development Bank of Belarus and the African export-import bank signed a framework agreement worth 150 million dollars. This money will be spent on Belarusian new export goods and technologies. The Belarusian Bank is ready to look into increasing the limits.

Sergey Rumas, chairman of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus:
It is necessary to understand that today we speak about traditional exporters, 4-5 plants. Today we saw that Africa has a fast growing economy. Africa has the necessity of Belarusian product of other plants. Quite a few plants will be able to able to use this financial instrument to move their products to new markets.

The foreign guests visited MTZ, MAZ and BelAZ as well. Before the forum even began, the two sides signed contracts worth 402 million dollars.
