Foreign guests about Belagro 2017 and Belarus' agricultural potential

The agricultural exhibition Belagro 2017 has opened near Minsk. Taking part in the exhibition this year are 500 representatives from 25 countries.

The best companies present technical innovations and progressive food products.

Frank from France has brought energy-saving technologies for farms to the exhibition. He has already assessed the scale of the forum and has drawn parallels with the Parisian agricultural salon.

Frank, businessman (France):
We have a similar agrarian exhibition in Paris, so for me it was very interesting how you present your products. I'm very impressed. I really liked the animals presented, and I had time to taste a lot of sausage products, milk, and cheese. Everything is very tasty.

Belarus is in the top five of the world's milk producers and is among the leaders in the production of agricultural machinery. The large-scale forum not only improves the country's image, but also traditionally expands the boundaries of sales markets.

Leonid Zayats, Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus:
In 2016, we have developed more than 100 products. And it is not by chance that today we receive gold medals, recognition of even European countries for our Belarusian products. For our glazed cheese-cakes, for yogurts, for natural products, which consumer eat with pleasure and say "thank you".

The area of 50,000 m2 houses novelties of agriculture: from fertilizers to the latest technologies.

By the way, the Belarusian-African business forum is being held within the framework of Belagro. Held for the first time, it promises many contracts.

Mustafa Sow, director of a company (Senegal):
Africa is a developing region, and we definitely need the experience in agriculture of such a successful country as Belarus. We are here to study your technologies and establish cooperation. Belarusian industry has much to offer Africa. Such equipment, competitive in price, would meet high demand in Africa.

Chris Oshiaphi, head of a bank (Nigeria):
Excellent quality, fantastic! It corresponds to all world standards.
