Days of Moldovan culture open in Minsk on June 6

The Days of Culture of Moldova have solemnly opened in Minsk.

The famous national ensemble Fluieras performed with huge success at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Hall. The repertoire of the ensemble includes both classical and folk music, as well as melodies of the peoples of the world. As a surprise for Belarusians the artists performed the famous Belovezhskaya Pushcha song.

Monica Babuc, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova:
I am very glad to present in Belarus our wonderful legendary ensemble Fluieras. This translates as a "pipe". This is our folklore music and folklore dances. And of course wonderful costumes.

Belarus and Moldova have long been tied by close cultural relations. The center of Belarusian culture opened in Chisinau a while ago. A monument to the first Belarusian printer Francysk Skaryna will appear in the Moldovan capital soon.
