Minsk hosts FinTech Conference 2017 for startups

The best innovative project will be selected in Minsk. More than 20 teams from Russia and Belarus will present their startup ideas in the field of financial technologies.

Among them is an app that is able to independently develop a business plan for any enterprise, and an airline ticket insurance project (in case the flight is delayed or canceled). The most relevant development will get a chance to enter the everyday life of ordinary people.

The winner will receive a cash prize for business development.

Investigators and business angels from the United States, Europe and the Middle East will closely follow the intellectual battles.

Alexander Shumilin, head of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus:
We do have talented people in Belarus. It is necessary to earn more on the basis of talent and science. Our youth can turn their ideas into a business and thus a production company can be established here so we can then branch out into new competitive products.

The battle of startups took place in the framework of an international conference on financial technologies.

It's was the first time the Belarusian capital Minsk had hosted this event.
