Molodechno to host 27th National Belarusian Song and Poetry Festival

This year the festival will be dedicated to the 135th anniversary of Belarusian poets Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas. Theater presentations and a contest of young performers are expected to take place.

Then there will be a premiere of the National Academic Concert Orchestra titled "Kupala and Kolas, you have raised us!"

Works of Belarusian composers based on Kupala's and Kolas' poems will be presented. The concert "Friends" as well as the legendary Paulinka performance are expected on the stage of the local Palace of Culture.

There will be a children's show and public reading of works of Belarusian literature classics.

The Sports Kaleidoscope show will add more dynamism to the event program.

Mikhail Finberg, Art Director of the National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus:
This is a significant musical event. I am proud of taking part in this festival since 1993 - the first year actually.

I would like to remind you that the festival is special, it is national.

No other even has such a status. I would like to remind you that the festival is held under the aegis of the Belarus President. Combining all this we get what we are expected.
