Belarusian scientists develop filmforming substance for quick sprig growth

One of the most spread ways of propagating plants is graftage. However, sprigs of trees do not ecize easily. In order to make life for gardeners easier, scientists from the Institute of biophysics and cellular engineering have developed special filmforming substances.

Belarusian scientists added plant growth regulators and microelements into filmforming substances. The results of the research showed that when plants are treated with such substances plants ecize quicker and the number of sprigs increased by 20-25%.

The sprigs need to be dipped into the filmforming substance and then they need to be let to dry.

After all the preparatory stages the sprigs can be planted into soil. The special filmforming substance will help to increase the number of ecized planting material by 30-50 %. Beautiful and fruit bearing trees will grow out of these sprigs.

The efficiency of the developed substances has been tested on apple, plum, pear and sweet cherry sprigs. It is possible that filmforming substances will approve themselves in the future in terms of other plant crops.
