UK Ambassador to Belarus: We are grateful to Belarus for lent support

A Book of Condolence in connection with the terrorist act at Manchester stadium was opened in the British Embassy in Minsk on May 24, 2017. Ordinary Belarusians and representatives of diplomatic missions from other countries leave words of sorrow and support.

Belarusians continue expressing solidarity with the people of Great Britain. The bring flowers to the British Embassy in Minsk.

Fiona Gibb, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Belarus:
We are grateful to Belarus for the lent support. People started bringing flowers to the Embassy yesterday. It was very touching. We also heard words of condolence from heads of state, from the name of the Belarusian people, which were sent to Her Majesty the Queen. Thank you very much for that.

The doors of the Embassy will be open on May 25 as well. Anyone who wishes to can express words of sympathy. The Book of Condolence will be available from 11:00am to 1:00pm and from 2:00pm till 4:30pm.
