Belarus to expand dialogue with local and regional authorities of EU and EaP countries

Prospects for expanding the dialogue with local and regional authorities of the EU countries and the Eastern Partnership are being discussed these days in Minsk at a meeting of the Bureau of the Conference of the Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP).

The main topics are economic growth, employment promotion and the creation of new jobs, the development of tourism, energy efficiency and the strengthening of the role of local authorities in addressing these issues.

Markku Markkula, President of the European Committee of the Regions:
The European Investment Bank allocates about 200 million euros to support small and medium-sized enterprises in order to increase energy efficiency and introduce high technologies. This money is intended for Belarus.
