Dinamo Minsk no longer needs foreign players and coaches?

On May 19, Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Serious changes are planned in the ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk. Igor Shunevich is the chairman of the supervisory board of the club. During the working meeting the President supported the decision to refuse from the services of foreign players.

Igor Shunevich, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus:
The head of state was offered a new definite concept for the development of the ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk. One of the directions of this concept is a promising and complete refusal from the services of international players at the club, including in the coaching staff. We want to stimulate our national hockey, our national ice hockey school. One of the ways is the possibility of refusing from foreign services.

Thus, it is likely that exclusively Belarusians will be playing for Dinamo Minsk. Foreign coaching staff will not be invited either.
