Belarus Foreign Ministry: Belarus has its own agreement on visa-free border crossing procedure with Ukraine

The introduction of visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens into the European Union will by no means affect Belarusians who want to visit the neighboring state. It was stated by Belarus’ Foreign Ministry on May 18, 2017. No additional checking events in connection with Ukraine’s visa-free regime to the EU countries will be implemented when crossing the Belarus-Ukraine border.

Dmitry Mironchik, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus:
Belarus has its own agreement with Ukraine on the procedure for the crossing o the Sate Border. I do not see any consequences here for the citizens of Belarus concerning some additional difficulties from the Ukrainian side.

From June 11, 2071 Ukrainian citizen will be able to go and stay in Europe without a visa up to 90 days. They will only need to have a biometrical passport. The corresponding document was signed in Strasbourg the day before.
