Retro Minsk 2017 festival gathers 150 rare crews from all over the world

Cars are not a luxury, but a dream. A festival of rare cars has been held in Minsk. The retro parade gathered 150 rarest crews from around the world. Belarusians were also among the participants.

Arturas came from Lithuania on his vintage car. His collection includes a couple of similar retro autos.

For the owner, they are a reason for special pride, because they are truly unique.

Arturas, participant of the international festival Retro Minsk 2017 (Lithuania):
This is unique. All the equipment inside is authentic. We have an award for the most qualitative restoration and original spare parts.

Taking part in the festival were Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland Estonia and others. Spain made a debut at this year's festival.

Alexander Shurin, organizer of the international festival Retro Minsk 2017:
The number of countries and the number of cars is increasing, so we have very strict control and criteria for accepting cars. The international technical commission works for three months.

Now we have Retro Minsk, in the summer we expect Sunday in Grodno and another summer event will be Oldtimer Rally.

Next year the festival organizers expect an even greater number of participants.
