Direct air link may appear between Minsk and Rostov-on-Don

Belarus and Russia are now working closely on the creation of a direct flight from Minsk to Rostov-on-Don. A representative delegation from the Russian region arrived in Belarus on a visit. It includes all the key figures of the government.

Yesterday, the National Library hosted a meeting of a working group on cooperation. The air communication will help intensify business contacts of Belarus, increase the transit attractiveness and contribute to the development of tourism.

Mikhail Rusyi, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
Rostov Oblast for Belarus is one of the most priority regions. Our enterprises and the enterprises of Rostov may partake in joint production or just cooperate in any way, at each other's platforms.

Vasily Golubev, Governor of the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation:
We agreed that in the near future a working document will be signed in which we will define specific goals between ministries and departments as well as concrete producers for the implementation of our agreement. I am convinced that we have many unrealized reserves that require our joint attention.

The trade turnover between Belarus and the Rostov region of Russia is about $340 million. Both sides are interested in expanding cooperation. Yesterday the sides signed a plan of joint actions for the next two years.
