Belarus may take part in building second potash mining plant in Turkmenistan

It is possible that Belarus will be taking part in building the second potash mining plant in Turkmenistan. It was announced on May 10, 2017 in Minsk where an intergovernmental meeting is taking place. The commodity circulation between the countries decreased lately. However, there are drafts of new projects. One of the projects may be the establishment of a new potash mining plant.

Anatoly Kalinin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
Taking into consideration that Belarus built the first potash mining plant worthily and to high standards, it was put into service and now it is functioning, Turkmenistan announced a competition on building the second and third potash mining plants. In this connection Belarus is looking into partaking in this project.

The Garlyk mining and processing plant, which was built with Belarus’ participation, started working from March 2017. It is one of the major foreign projects of Belarus. Belarus is also training specialists for work at this plant.
