President Lukashenko expresses opinion on situation with migrants in Europe

After the official events in Victory Square in Minsk President Lukashenko met with journalists. Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the situation in the world today, about the development of the regions, the situation with Belarusian ice hockey and many other things.

Correspondent:
In the two previous years Belarus has received more than 160 thousand migrants from Ukraine. What do you think, why don’t Belarusians see a problem in this, but the problem with migrants from the Middle East is a completely different thing?

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
It is very important with what mood and where from a person is coming. Let’s take your parallel. Ukrainians came to Belarus. The came to Belarus not because we turned their houses upside down, did they? They came here to save their lives and to save their families. They come to people in Belarus, who must help them. This is their mood. As for the situation in the Middle East, where did the migrant flow to Europe come from? Europeans came to that region as well. Remember that Arabic arch. Everything began with Tunisia. They started bombing, ruining, turning things upside down there. They brought democracy. Further on was Libya. And they went in turns. Today it is Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan-everything is wiped off from the face of the ground. The came there and ruined their houses, they killed their children, relatives and close ones. And this caused the migrant flow. Some of them wanted to revenge, others wanted to find work, because there is nothing to eat. How were they greeted? Reservations, separate settlements. They created their own enclaves with this mood. This is the principle difference. For this reason it is necessary to be more attentive, kinder towards people. Then you will get kindness in return.
