Vitaly Novitsky, official representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus:
The cargo was formed during negotiations with the International Society of the Red Cross. These goods are really what people need first: food (canned meat, sugar, cereals, vegetable oil) and toiletries. Of course, we are in close contact with the enterprises that will ship the goods. Part of them will come from the state material reserve, which the Ministry of Emergency Situations is in charge of. We, of course, are in contact with both border and customs services in order to ensure the fastest delivery of the cargo. In the coming days, the aid will be delivered.

Containers will be delivered by road and in Kiev they will be handed over to the Red Cross for distribution among the victims of the military conflict in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Finance allocates funds for this assistance from Belarus' budget.
