3D show expected at May 9 Victory Day in Minsk

A unique 3D show dedicated to the Victory Day will be shown on May 9 in Minsk. Animated pictures will be projected on the buildings surrounding Victory Monument.

All in all, in Minsk alone, there will be held more than 80 events dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory.

The main celebrations in Minsk will traditionally take place in Victory Square. In the morning, there will be a ceremony of laying flowers followed by a concert in the evening.

Irina Driga, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus:
The highlight of this festival will be a 3D Show which will be broadcast on the houses located on both sides of the Victory Monument. Now the Belarusian and Russian specialists are preparing the five-minute act. Short but rich in content, the 3D show is dedicated to the main pages of military history of the Great Patriotic War in Belarus. This will be the first such large-scale action.

The culmination of the festival will be the traditional fireworks. In Minsk the fireworks will be launched from five sites. The fireworks display is scheduled for 11 pm Belarusian time.

The best view is expected from Victory Square and near the stela "Minsk - Hero City".

Celebrations to mark the Victory Day will start already on 6 May. The festivities will begin with the concert "Belarusian railway station" at the Palace of the Republic.
