Slovak investors plan to invest 130 million euros in agriculture in Vitebsk region

Slovak investors plan to invest EUR 130 million in the development of agriculture in the Vitebsk region. The list of joint projects includes the construction of a plant for waste treatment and production of medicines. On April 27, the prime ministers of the two countries discussed the economic component of cooperation.

The head of the Belarusian government is now in Bratislava.

Andrei Kobyakov also expressed confidence that Slovakia will assist in the development of cooperation with the EU.

Andrei Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
We enable businesses to meet each other, to determine the prospects of areas of possible cooperation, but they have to lay down the actual projects themselves. And we, if necessary, will provide them with support and some assistance. Therefore, trade and investment has to measure the ultimate impact of our economic cooperation.

Businessmen also discussed further cooperation plans in Bratislava. The Belarusian-Slovak business forum became a major meeting place. As a result, the sides signed a package of documents.
