Belarusian tourists caught in bus accident in Poland return to Belarus

Most of the Belarusian tourists affected by the bus accident in Poland have already returned to Belarus. The night before they were taken to Grodno.

An excursion bus with more than 40 Belarusians turned over near the settlement of Zawada.

A total of 17 people were injured. All of them received medical care. Nine passengers are still staying in a Polish hospital. Their condition is satisfactory and injuries are not serious.

The travel agency said that these people will receive monetary compensation upon returning to Belarus.

Vladimir Sychevsky, director of a trading company:
There are no life-threatening injuries. But there are fractures, bruises, concussions, which, according to the doctors, will require a certain observation. Therefore, 9 people will remain in hospital.

The embassy of Belarus in Poland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs monitors the situation and are in constant contact with Polish medical and law enforcement authorities.
