Presidents of Belarus, Ukraine to visit Chernobyl NPP on April 26

On the day of the Chernobyl tragedy, the President of Belarus will take part in the events dedicated to the anniversary of the accident at the nuclear power plant. On April 26, Alexander Lukashenko, together with his Ukrainian counterpart, will visit the nuclear power plant and the facilities next to it.

Attention will be paid to work to radiation safety. This affects the interests of residents of both Belarus and Ukraine. The presidents will get familiar with the construction of a new sarcophagus. They will also commemorate the liquidators and the victims of the accident.

On the same day, Alexander Lukashenko and Petro Poroshenko will hold talks in Belarus.
