MSLU students to work as volunteers at II European Games 2019

Guests of the European Games 2019 will be met by several thousand volunteers in Minsk. Among them are students from different countries.

The majority of volunteers will be the best students of the Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU). Volunteers will be working not only in the sports arena, but also in the press center, the fan village and hotels.

Alexander Shamko, Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus:
This is a good opportunity for young people to express themselves and gain life experience. Therefore, volunteers today are important during any international sports events.

Azerbaijani colleagues help Belarus prepare for the sporting event. Baku already has experience of the I European Games. The sports competitions in Baku in 2015 were watched by nearly 1.5 billion viewers in 150 countries.

Farhad Hajiyev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan:
I'm sure the II European Games will also be held on a large scale, as well as in Baku. Because we watched the IIHF WM in 2014 and we saw how beautiful it all was. I'm sure that it will not be worse.

Maxim Ryzhenkov, First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus:
The infrastructure is almost ready. We need to catch up on security issues. We have to purchase different kinds of security systems; we need to train staff who would have the knowledge of foreign languages and modern technology.

Minsk was chosen as the capital of II European Games in October 2016. It is planned that about 4,000 athletes will partake in the Games.
