Supercomputer, biometric passport and Internet of Things to be presented at TIBO 2017 in Minsk

An office supercomputer, smart parking system and Internet of Things will be among innovations to be presented at the specialized exhibition TIBO.

It opened in Minsk on April 18. Dozens of Belarusian and foreign companies present advanced developments in the field of high technologies and communications.

This app will turn any city of Belarus into an open-air museum and will hold excursions for its owner on the move.

Young programmers do have something to show at TIBO.

Alena Krivaltsevich, creator of the mobile app:
It is based on Google Maps which makes it possible to check the user's location against the location of other sights. In the future, we plan that the app will find the app depending on user's location and start an audio file telling the tourist about this sight.

This is an office supercomputer weighing 30 kilos. The smart machine is a godsend for geologists.

Sergey Kruglikov, Deputy Director General of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus:
This system block houses 10 computational nodes, each of which is a server.

The supercomputer allows you to calculate at a rate of 10 trillion operations per second.

Among other developments are the biometric passport, an ID card and the prototype of e-government.

Mikhail Chashchin, Director of the Informatization Department of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus:
Three blocks will be presented: G to G - state and state, G to B - state to business, and G to C - state and citizens. We tried to cover the whole spectrum which would interest the visitors of the exhibition.

In total, TIBO will bring together 100 companies from 17 countries. By the way, Azerbaijan will bring the national stand for the first time. The lectures will be delivered by the best specialists in the field of information technology and communications.

Sergei Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus:
