Belarus to check military communications regiment

The State Secretariat of the Security Council, on behalf of the Belarus President, started checking the 14th government communications separate regiment of the KGB.

The division provides communication of the leadership of the country in time of war.

The check will be held in several stages. Experts of the regiment will advance to designated areas, deploy field units and organize unhampered government communication.

Stanislav Zas, State Secretary of Security Council of the Republic of Belarus:
There are two purposes of the checkup. The first goal is to test in practice the readiness of the regiment to carry out combat tasks as intended. The second goal concerns the prospects of the development of 14th separate regiment of government communications. At the end of 2016, as part of the optimization of all law enforcement agencies, we worked with this regiment too. We have some suggestions on how to optimize the structure, the number of problems solved and prospects of its development.

Checking the readiness of the 14th regiment will take a few days this week.

The task will be carried out together with the communications troops of the Armed Forces, who also provide communication services to the country's leadership.
