Industrial cooperation: China’s Hunan province and Mogilev region sign amicable agreement

Mogilev region and Chinese Hunan province will cooperate in metal and engineering industries.

The partnership agreement was signed by the heads of the regions on April 14, 2017 in the town of Dnepr.

The two regions have experience of cooperation. Joint manufacture of building and utility machinery was established at Mogilevtransmash plant. Mogilev region is also planning to export food products to Hunan Province, where the population is about 70 million people.

Du Jiao, Secretary of the Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hunan Province:
Mogilev region is progressive in terms of industrial production, for this reason, to my mind, we will primarily find common touch points in cooperation of industrial plants, and not only in this sector.

I suppose that food products, produced in Mogilev region, will be able to get to the tables of Hunan residents.

Vladimir Domanevsky, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee:
The Hunan province is interested in supplies of Mogilev region’s food products.

Mogilev region began active supplies of dairy products, beer, water and juices to China from the beginning of the previous year.

A range of other food products are in demand there as well.

The agreement on establishing friendly relations involves cooperation not only in economy but in the social sphere as well.

What is more, the two sides agreed on opening a representative office of Hunan Province in Mogilev.
