As many as 40% of Belarusians will receive services in electronic form by 2020.It was stated by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus. It will touch upon all sectors, from housing and public utilities to medicine.
A database for digital economy in Belarus has been created. Now its task is to develop. For this reason a corresponding normative base is being created and ID cards as well. It is a universal document which contains all the information about its owner.
Sergei Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus:
The maximum number of Belarus’ population must use E-services. There is one problem today but it is being solved. The document, which an individual receives within the E-services, must have a certificate of a legally capable document. A corresponding normative base will be adopted within the current year. It will prevent citizens’ communication with the administrative resource. It will eliminate the loss of working hours and going to authorities.
What is more, all the regional centers in Belarus will have access to 4G communication technology. At the moment this format is available in only 40% of settlements in Belarus.
