Budapest mayor István Tarlós offers to open shops with Hungarian products in Minsk

Days of Budapest are underway in Minsk. On April 10, the mayor of the Hungarian capital was received at the Minsk Town Hall.

Later, the guests visited Belarus' industrial giants. In particular, the Hungarian delegation is interested in industries producing public transport.

The business part of the visit will be complemented by the Belarusian-Hungarian business forum and contact-cooperation exchange which will start on April 11. The cultural program promises to be rich too.

Budapest and Minsk signed a cooperation agreement in 2016. Overall, Belarus and Hungary established diplomatic relations 25 years ago.

István Tarlós, Budapest mayor:
First of all, we are talking about extending this agreement, primarily in the field of utilities and culture.

István Tarlós offered the Belarusian side to open shops with Hungarian products in Belarus and shops with Belarusian goods in Hungary. The Minsk mayor supported the idea.

Andrei Shorets, Minsk mayor:
Today we are hosting the Hungarian delegation who are visiting the days of Hungary in Minsk. The program of their visit is rich: we will discuss culture, tourism and economic matters and taste Hungarian wines.
