Belarus and China will continue active cooperation in the field of security, said the President of Belarus at a meeting with the State Councilor of the PRC, Minister of Public Security.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that despite the distance between the countries, the law enforcement agencies of Belarus and China have many common challenges. In particular, these are new challenges of our time: extremism and terrorism.
The President also drew attention to the preparations for the Second European Games, which Belarus will take in 2019. Belarus will benefit from the experience of its Chinese colleagues, as China hosted the Olympics in 2008.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
For us it's very important to find out your experience you got when preparing and holding the Olympics in 2008. We are now paying great attention to new challenges that have emerged and some of the old problems which have recently escalated - extremism, terrorism, and separatism. These are the three evils against which the People's Republic of China is actively fighting. Cybercrime, active migration too. In these areas, we have to work out serious measures for active cooperation.
